Juncus dudleyi   Dudley's or "toenail" rush
            Juncaceae native                      grasslike

UW Burke Herbarium Link: Juncus dudleyi

I like to use the name “toenail rush” for Juncus dudleyi because the way to tell it from other species in the Juncus tenuis complex is how the short rounded leaf auricles are thickened like an old toenail (and about the same color).  Inflorescences are generally congested.
