Although the Boise Front possibly lies within the extensive native range of blanketflower (Gaillardia aristata), the few occurrences are most likely to have resulted from intentional plantings of this popularly cultivated wildflower.  The only known established population is at Spring Shores Marina, possibly originating in a pollinator garden, where it appears to be spreading upslope into relatively undisturbed habitat.
