Bigleaf lupine is a widespread native species in western North America, consisting of several varieties.  It has also been brought into cultivation, leading to sporadic occurrences outside of its native range.  The inclusion of Lupinus polyphyllus here is based on a small population near the Warm Springs Country Club that is also presumed to have originated from cultivated specimens.  On the other hand, the original wetland flora of the Treasure Valley was largely wiped out for agriculture and the emerging city of Boise long before any thorough inventory could be made.
